For an article in FT Rui magazine about those who wear the brand-name clothes and expensive accessories, then fake their way into moneyed, upper-class social circles.

If you’re wondering about the buffalo, it’s a visual reference to the Chinese for boasting or bragging, which is “chui niu”, literally “to blow the cow (skin)”.
